Toners for different Skin Types

  • Vinegar Toner(for all skin types)

To Make : Apple cider vinegar diluted with water makes an excellent skin toner and conditioners. Use 2 tablespoons of vinegar to 1 cup of water. This proportion can be adjusted for various skin types such as increasing the amount of water for sensitive skin or decreasing the amount for oily skin.

To use : Dampen a cotton ball and apply to clean skin with a wiping motion.

  • Herbal Tea Toner(for all skin types)

To Make : Pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1 to 3 teaspoons of your favorite herb or blend of herbs and steep for one hour. Mix with 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar(optional). Store in refrigerator and make fresh every week.

To use : Dampen a cotton ball and apply to clean skin with a wiping motion.

  • Lavender Toner(for all skin types)

To Make : Add 4 drops of essential oil of lavender to 1/2 cup of water.

To use : Shake well before use. After the skin has been cleansed, dampen a cotton ball and apply to the face with a wiping motion.

  • Lemon Toner and Astringent(for normal, oily, or combination skin)

To Make : Squeeze and strain the juice of one lemon. Mix with 1/2 to 1 cup of water, depending on the desired strength.

To use : Apply to a clean face using a cotton ball and a wiping motion.

  • Aloe Vera Juice Toner(for normal, oily, combination, or blemished skin)

To Use : Dampen cotton ball and apply to clean skin with a wiping motion. Aloe Vera is especially good for blemished skin. Leave on for a few minutes and then rinse your face with cool water and gently pat dry. The very clear, almost liquid aloe vera juice can be left on.

Dry, sensitive and aging skins may be able to use aloe vera as a toner, but in some cases the aloe is too drying. In this case, it can be diluted 50/50 with water.
