Not all stress is bad. In fact, we probably need some stress in our lives to keep us on our toes. Many activities are worth doing even if they are stressful, such as paying bills or talking out an upsetting problem. It is often not the stressors themselves that are the problem but how you cope with them.

Meditation

Meditation

In relationship to stress (as opposed to a spiritual practice), meditation is a relaxation technique. It provides many benifits when practiced regularly. It can relax the body, rejuvinate the nervous system, clear and refine mental activity, and lower the blood pressure. Meditation is a technique of directed concentration that allows for deep mental and physical relaxation-even better than sleep. It awakens the intuition as well as positive, constructive tendencies, and most people experience a deep inner satisfaction. Meditation promotes a sense of well-being and an impoved outlook on life and can lift minor depresion. It inceases energy because of the deep rest it allows and promotes mental peace with emotional calmness.

Following are the meditaion techniques:-

  1. Find a quit place.Sit upright in a comfortable position. Loosen any clothing that is tight or causing discomfort. Become aware of your natural pattern of breathing. Do not try to change it;simply observe it.Do this for twenty minutes.Do not overanalyze what you have just experienced.Do not judge it as a "good" or "bad" meditaion.

  2. Find a quiet place and sit upright in a comfortable position. Loosen any clothing that is too tight. close your eyes. think of simple word that makes you feel good such as "om", "omen", or "peace" ."watch" your breathing and hear the word in your mind on the exhale of your breath. Do this for twenty minutes. Come out of your meditation slowly and gently, feeling revitaized.
